Who is responsible

Yume is operated as a sole proprietorship and is responsible for the personal information described here. Email hello@yume.video for privacy questions or requests.

Information Yume handles

Yume handles account, contact and purchase information, including your email address, order history and payment status. Stripe handles the payment details entered at Checkout; Yume keeps the identifiers and records needed to operate and support the purchase.

Creative information can include a public professional-profile link and selected professional facts, a job-posting link, photos, details you approve, optional answers, production instructions, prompts, intermediate assets and completed videos. Yume asks only for the fields needed by the chosen template.

Technical information can include security and service logs, device or browser details, referral choices and limited analytics from selected public marketing pages.

Sources, gifts and saved profiles

Information can come from you, from another customer buying a gift, from the person depicted, or from a provider reading a public professional profile or job page. The form shows the important extracted details so the purchaser can review and correct them before production.

Gift-recipient information stays with that order. When you sign in, a saved self-profile may prefill a later order. Each accepted order keeps its own snapshot, so changing a saved profile does not silently alter an earlier order.

Yume does not infer protected traits, use photos for biometric identification or retain face embeddings. Launch videos are for adults.

Why Yume uses information

Yume uses information to take payment, create and deliver the ordered video, provide edits and a video library, send transactional email, support customers, correct problems, operate rewards and referrals, prevent abuse, secure the service and meet record-keeping obligations.

Affiliate referral tracking is optional. Yume remembers a permitted referral in a signed first-party cookie for 30 days. Declining or turning it off never prevents a purchase. Turning it off stops future attribution and removes the cookie, but does not change attribution already fixed for an existing Checkout or purchase.

Service providers and international processing

Yume uses providers for payments, public-profile retrieval, AI and video production, hosting and storage, authentication, transactional email, security and analytics. Yume sends each provider the information needed for its role rather than the whole customer record.

Some providers may process information outside your country or the European Economic Area. Provider locations, retention and safeguards depend on the service and account arrangement. Yume does not promise that all processing is EU-only.

Photos, files and watch links

Source photos, intermediate files and production assets are private in storage. Completed videos use unlisted watch links. Anyone with a link can watch and download without signing in, but Yume does not list these links publicly or include them in search indexes.

Yume can revoke a hosted video and delete its own accessible copies. It cannot recall files already downloaded or reposted by someone else.

How long information is kept

Yume keeps creative order information to provide your video library, edits and future support until deletion is requested or the service no longer needs it. There is no automatic expiry based only on the age of an order.

Payment, refund, dispute, risk, reward, affiliate and accounting records are kept separately where needed for records, reconciliation, fraud prevention or legal obligations. Deleting creative material does not automatically delete those minimum commercial records.

Your choices and rights

Customers and people depicted in videos can email hello@yume.video to request access, correction, restriction, objection or deletion. Include the relevant video link so Yume can locate the material. Yume asks for the least additional evidence reasonably needed to verify the request; an account or government identity document is not required by default.

Possessing a watch link is enough to identify a video, but it does not by itself authorize disclosure of personal information or permanent deletion. A plausible request from a depicted person can restrict viewing and production while Yume verifies it. A verified deletion can override the purchaser's ownership and does not automatically create a refund.

Updates to this notice

Yume may update this notice when the service or its providers change. The page shows its effective date and edition. Material changes apply from the stated date rather than silently rewriting the privacy information attached to an earlier Checkout.
